You people can make of it what you want, but honestly, I'm trying to help if you learn to read between the lines. I say what I mean because I do the site purely for fun and to share my images with my friends. Then I got my head out of engineering and only then started to make decent images. I also invented the world's first digital color-space conversion DSP chip in about 1990 by using the matrix multiplier chip we had.
I'd rather be photographing naked women, but if you want to read email from unqualified strangers on the internet about CCD technology just let me qualify myself not only by the photos I crank out, but by my resume of having been an applications engineer for SONY's CCDs in 1993 helping camera makers design their cameras, and worked for the company that invented the video A/D converter chip (TRW LSI Products) that makes the digicams you take for granted today a reality (of course they don't use the $1,000 TDC1007 we invented today!!!!). Unlike any other site, I do this all for laughs. Would you believe, with the dozen emails a day I get, that so many idiots thought it really was a lefty camera that I added it to the site. Of course I'm kidding about the left handed camera. Nikon, and yes I'm, not impressed that the Canon 1D has no playback zoom and that the boring commercial review sites like this one written by people who are not really photographers clearly show the noisy 1D. I didn't stick my flash card in since it really was a prototype and didn't represent how well it really will work. I was the guest of a scanner maker who invited me. I really did use the D100 (prototype) at the Photoshop World convention of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals in San Diego in March. I don't claim to be any good, but some morons keep handing me first places.
There were only 6,500 other entries, so it was an easy win. In the scenic category in the contest hitting the same paper on Sunday.
